Reference & editing workflows

AI Video Product Reference Guide

Products fail when the model “redesigns” them between frames or shots. Treat geometry and branding as locked constraints and make camera/light behavior the flexible part.

Geometry

Silhouette, proportions, button/control placement and packaging dimensions.

Materials

Metal, glass, fabric, gloss and reflection behavior.

Branding

Logo/label placement should stay fixed; add typography in post when exact text is critical.

Camera

Use controlled reveals and partial orbits rather than chaotic movement.

A practical reference workflow

  1. Identify the exact role of every reference: identity, product, environment, motion, start frame, end frame or edit target.
  2. Write down the elements that must remain unchanged before describing motion or edits.
  3. Describe one primary change at a time: action, camera, lighting, background, style or continuation.
  4. End with a stable target state that can be reviewed, edited or used as the next clip reference.
